The show of The Trial Of Anne Bonney And Mary Reed, last night at the Brixham Royal British Legion raised £45 for the Legion. Thanks to all audience and cast members!

Thank you to all our wonderful cast, friends/ helpers, audience for a great show and lots of fun re-enactments yesterday for the first performance of The Trial Of Anne Bonney and Mary Reed. It was fantastic. Over 130 people in the fishmarket in the evening and we raised over £50 for the group from the donation tin. Photos and youtubes will be made available shortly
Also many thanks to the Brixham Buccaneers and the long suffering Simon from the Golden Hind.
Next production of this show is at the British legion on Sept 12th.
On Sept 27th (1-4pm) are the auditions for Troy the Panto. Existing and prospective members welcome (in fact encouraged!) to audition.

Another show for the Anne Bonney & Mary Reed production has been booked at Brixham British Legion for the evening of Saturday Sept 12th, starting at 7.45pm (note all cast will be required earlier to get into costume!) Details now on booking page.
Thanks to all who attended the photoshoot, the posters are now complete and starting to go up around Torbay - you all look FANTASTIC!

The finalised time and date for the shoot on the Golden Hind is Thurs July 9th at 5.30. I expect us to take about an hour. We have Anne, Mary and Jack, anyother show cast member who wants to come is more than welcome (let me know beforehand)

Thank you very much to those who supported our stall at the Scala Hall yesterday, and those who expressed interest in attending our shows, or joining us to make shows happen - we hope to see you again in the future, it was lovely to meet all of you!
Audition details are filtering out bit by bit today (as they get typed up!) for our Anne Bonney And Mary Reed pirate show, and for the plans for the variety show to take around the nursing homes. Please see our "current projects" page for more information and audition dates.
The AGM date will be announced shortly, there are just some checks on venue and time taking place at the moment, but it is expected to take place on June 10th, (watch this news page for a finalised announcement on the AGM).
meeting for two new small shows on May 15th, 7pm at the British Legion:
1) a World War 2 theme variety show for local nursing homes
2) The Trial Of Anne Bonney And Mary Reed; a true life pirate trial of the 1720s, scripted up performances would be on September Pirate Thursday (s), on behalf of the Brixham Buccanneers.
We are having an informal meeting about these two scripts on Friday at the British Legion, 7pm sharp, if you would like to be involved, please come along or email interest before that date!
Publicity stall for the group at the Scala Hall, May 16th; 10am - 4pm.
A date for the diary -an excellent opportunity to show ourselves off and get the word out about the group. A couple more volunteers for the stall would be much appreciated.

Committee meeting and Dons Leaving Party, this coming Friday.
Please note on this coming Friday: 7pm at Weatherspoons (in Brixham) for a committee meeting - election of new treasurer, plans for the summer, etc. Any feedback / thoughts/ rants/ compliments/free chocolate truffles you have about the running of the group, please bring them along. All SDP group members welcome to the meeting.
At 8pm, still at Weatherspoons, will be Dons leaving party, one of the stalwarts of the group, the lucky sod is going abroad, so we are going to give him a good party as a thank you! Bring a friend, or preferably 10! :)
